Wesley Mission Queensland's ParentsNext Program is a federally funded program that works with parents with young children who have been out of work for more than 6 months and assists these parents to identify and move towards their education and employment goals. Part of this process can be about finding a suitable activity, to build their capacity, to reconnect with their community and establish support networks.
The role of the Community Support Worker is to develop a plan with the parent around their education and employment goals, to manage their caseload of clients, work as a team and develop community network relationships.
This role forms part of the ParentsNext team, working across the Brisbane south east employment region.
Experience and/or qualifications within the human service field are essential.
