About the role

The Integrated Medical Centre (TIMC) is a social enterprise with all profits going to community health programs offered by cohealth. We offer personalised care and service focused on giving our patients a great experience. We bring together General Practitioners and Allied Health professionals in one convenient location.

This role will provide high quality reception and administrative services to patients, doctors and TIMC tenants in a caring and supportive manner. You are required to exercise judgment, maintain confidentiality, set priorities and schedule work to meet deadlines.

Your daily duties will vary but will include:

  • Manage patient bookings, telephone calls and billings on behalf of Doctors (GPs) and allied health professionals in a timely and professional manner;
  • Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically;
  • Open and close the surgery, including daily reconciliation and banking procedures.
  • Liaise with patients, doctors and staff in a compassionate manner;
  • General reception and administration tasks including accurate document scanning;
  • Regulate own behaviour, comprehend organisational structure and culture and act appropriately in the execution of duties.
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekend shifts;
  • Defuse difficult situations and seeking assistance with critical incidents.

About You:

  • Demonstrated customer service experience in a medical setting with an emphasis on excellence.
  • Proven administrative and organisational skills with an ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to manage varied, high priority tasks within limited time frames.
  • High level interpersonal skills and ability to support others with day to day problem solving.
  • An enthusiastic and energetic person who is committed to working collaboratively with clients, patients and staff members as well as other organisations to achieve best practice outcomes.
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekend shifts.
