Located in the beautiful Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Wingecarribee Shire Council is only 40 minutes from South West Sydney and the Illawarra region.

The Community Resilience Officer position is a two-year contract working across bushfire impacted communities and community stakeholders to facilitate initiatives, resources, and activities based on identified needs for recovery and resilience.
The successful candidate will have qualifications in a relevant discipline with experience in recovery and disaster preparedness. A background in community development is highly desirable.
Critical to your success in the role is an understanding of bushfire and/or disaster recovery, coupled with your ability to translate this knowledge into programs and initiatives while responding to the community's needs. You are an excellent communicator with skills in building positive relationships and sustainable partnerships across the community.
