Your new role
We are looking for passionate and dedicated new graduate Speech Pathologists to join our team with two (2) positions available:
- Brisbane South (clinics at Eight Mile Plains and Springfield Lakes)
- Brisbane North (clinics at Wooloowin and North Lakes)
For both positions, there may be the opportunity to commence as a part-time Allied Health Assistant on successful completion of your Degree/Masters prior to SPA registration as negotiated.
About you
To be successful in your new role you will possess:
Must haves:
- A strong interest in providing paediatric developmental assessments and intervention programs
- Knowledge of AAC and feeding/dysphagia
- Strong clinical and non-clinical problem solving skills
- A client centred approach that is both professional and empathetic
- The ability to work both independently and as part of our multi-disciplinary team
- The ability to provide mobile services that are mostly in a client's home or educational setting with some clients attending Xavier clinics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Successful completion of a recognised degree in Speech Pathology
- SPA registration
- Willingness to obtain a Medicare provider number
- Meet suitability requirements including current police check
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Completion of NDIS Code of Conduct modules
Nice to haves:
- Experience with, AAC and feeding/dysphagia will be highly regarded
