Functional Family Therapy - Child Welfare Therapist - Slacks Creek / Jimboomba

YFS Ltd

Our FFT-CW team is expanding its geographic location to include the Logan region and we are looking for an out-placed therapist. You will be part of an experienced team of passionate therapists who are implementing Queensland’s first Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW) program. FFT-CW is an evidence-informed therapy program that achieves lasting behaviour change for vulnerable families.

You’ll be working with families and children in their homes to create change by helping them to understand their strengths and teaching them new skills and ways to solve problems.

As well as having clinical experience, the person for this role will need to be flexible, engaging and have a high level of emotional intelligence.

There’s no doubt this is a challenging role: it will also be an opportunity to develop your clinical skills with lots of support, clinical reflection and training, working with a supportive team.

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real difference in people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.

About the job

  • Role location: Slacks Creek / Jimboomba
  • Role type: Permanent, full-time
  • Pay range: $102,883 - $105,143 a year based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

You will:

  • work flexible hours, including two or more evenings a week
  • be based at our Slacks Creek office or Jimboomba office
  • provide weekly structured therapy sessions in line with the FFT-CW phased model
  • benefit from intensive training in the FFT-CW model, regular ongoing clinical support and a flexible work environment that includes working from home options.

About you

Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related position description available from here, ideally you will bring the following: a client focus, emotional intelligence, resilience, flexibility, inclusiveness, a collaborative spirit, creativity, innovation and cultural awareness.
