The YMCA Vocational School is a multi-campus educational community based in Logan, North Lakes, Ipswich and Acacia Ridge.
The School is a Special Assistance School and offers courses assisting disengaged students in having a "Real Opportunity" to achieve their full potential through positive educational studies, activities and outcomes. We believe all young people have the right to achieve their full potential irrelevant of circumstance.
The YMCA Vocational School is now recruiting for a Permanent Full-Time Senior Youth Worker, working 38 hours per week. The start date for this position is as soon as possible.
In this position, you will support our teachers and students at our Moreton Bay Junior Campus, to deliver well-being programs and lead on pastoral care of our students, as well as providing guidance to the youth work team.
The ideal applicant will be looking for a challenge, have a passion for working with young people, a strong interest in the development of the holistic person, a personal interest in health, spirituality and personal well-being.
They will also have a commitment to a client-centred approach, creative and innovative youth work practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
