About the role:

Supported by the education and training team, YWCA Canberra is looking for an experienced and passionate Trainer and Assessor to deliver the following accredited programs:

  • CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

As an integral part of a professional and vibrant team, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Designing, developing, delivery and assessment of our Early Childhood Education and Care courses
  • Providing subject matter expertise, drawing on your industry experience and understanding of regulation
  • Creating engaging pathways and structures to enable constructive learning – such as recognition of prior learning
  • Validating materials in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Proactively maintaining currency in training and assessing as well as industry currency

This role is offered at 30 or 38 hours per week, on a permanent ongoing basis.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and/or Degree in Early Childhood
  • Current 'Working With Vulnerable People' registration
  • Current drivers licence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Applied understanding of Early Childhood Education and Care regulation, legislation, and standards
  • Recent industry experience in Early Childhood Education and Care including experience as a Centre Manager or equivalent job role
