You Matter (Aus) Ltd is a growing Victorian not-for-profit organisation that supports survivors of family violence through setting up their homes with all the furniture and goods required for a fully functioning home Haven.

You Matter aims to be a critical part of the recovery journey for survivors of family violence in Victoria, working with and supporting agencies working directly with survivors. We aim to ensure that survivors and their families can live a safe and happy life within their own homes and community.

You Matter works primarily in the eastern and northern regions of Melbourne.

You Matter (Aus) Ltd is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee with tier 1 deductible goods recipient charitable status and associated tax concessions. We rely on an extraordinary, committed and skilled volunteer workforce of approximately 100 individuals to deliver our services, working alongside a small paid staff team.

ABOUT the role

You will be primarily responsible for delivering effective and efficient end-to-end processes of receiving, processing, storing, preparing and distributing donated goods for the establishment of ‘havens’ (houses for family violence survivors and their children); along with general maintenance, waste management and reduction and administrative tasks associated with the role.

Success in this role will be maximising the value of warehouse operations to support the efficient establishment of havens and building and maintaining strong volunteer, donor and business partnerships. An attractive remuneration package commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated.

  • Have demonstrated experience in a warehousing/sorting environment

  • Have experience with data entry and inventory management systems
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and use these to build and maintain positive and purposeful relationships with a range of stakeholders, including volunteers, donors, businesses and other partners
  • Be organised and have great time management and organisational skills
  • Have the ability to work in a small team, and independently often
