The role of Carbon Program Manager will contribute significantly to the delivery of the “Climate Action” theme of the AACo Sustainability Strategy including the development of carbon sequestration programs as well as emissions reduction and renewable energy transition initiatives. It will work closely with other key AACo team members to deliver on AACo’s “Nature Positive” aspirations while supporting the development of new business revenue streams. The role will also oversee the delivery of the key commitment of the “Landscape Carbon by Satellite” project and contribute to the Asparagopsis methane abatement commitment.

This role will be accountable for the development of a portfolio of AACo carbon projects through the Clean Energy Regulator (CER)under relevant soil, vegetation, landscape and agricultural carbon methodologies as well as administering the existing Beef Cattle Herd Management project. The position will also contribute to exploring the potential for entry into private carbon markets. In addition, this role will be responsible for guiding the development of internal capacity in carbon markets including team build-out and establishing supporting tools and resources.
