Asian Australians for Climate Solutions is an ACNC registered charity dedicated to promoting sustainable and impactful climate action within the Asian Australian community. We aim to create a vibrant network of individuals and organisations committed to addressing climate change.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dynamic Communications Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about climate action and skilled in networking, social media management, and public relations. This part-time role (3 days per week) is perfect for someone who wants to make a significant impact with flexible hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement effective communication strategies that speak to established Asian-Australians and Asian-born Australians (of Chinese, Vietnamese & South Asian backgrounds).
• Manage our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn creating engaging and relevant content.
• Craft and distribute newsletters to keep our community informed and engaged.
• Manage PR activities, including writing press releases and liaising with media.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Assist in organising events and campaigns to promote our initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in communications, PR, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Passion for climate action and sustainability.
• Experience working with diverse communities is a plus.
