About the role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in TAS (preferred location Hobart or Launceston, but we would also consider applicants near Devonport). Reporting directly to the General Manager Client Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing state-wide operations of all services delivered in the region and coordinating activities of the programs to ensure optimum efficiency
  • Ensuring all state-wide services and programs are delivered accurately and consistently across relevant locations and properly reflect funding and service agreements, with an emphasis on client experience, relevant legislation and service standards
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to develop administrative, financial and communication systems and processes and fostering positive working relationships aligned with the organisation’s culture and values
  • Establishing and maintaining industry relationships with relevant stakeholders within the region and actively promoting Dementia Australia client services.
  • Supporting the implementation of the organisation's quality framework, policies, and procedures. Identifying compliance obligations, proposing risk-mitigation actions, and monitoring adherence to national guidelines
  • Set clear accountabilities for direct reports, support achievement through coaching and performance reviews, and conduct regular reviews, including performance management as required.

Salary benefits: We offer all employees the opportunity to salary package up to $15,900 each year for living expenses and up to $2,650 each year for meal and entertainment benefits.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (health/allied health/social services sectors) and experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including mentoring and developing staff in a positive inclusive manner.
  • An understanding and experience in relation to contemporary issues, legislation, and standards impacting on community services (experience managing programs underpinned by Aged Care Quality Standards, and/or NDIS practice standards are highly regarded).
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and analytical skills
  • A sound understanding and experience in service review and development
  • A proven track record in leading staff to achieve organisational objectives
  • Demonstrated ability in financial management and budget oversight
