Who Are We?

Abbott Native Title Trustees (ANTT), is a commercial business and has been operating as a trustee for Native Title trusts since 2001. Since then, it has grown to include trustee roles across Western Australia including the Pilbara, Goldfields and Kimberley regions.

Through Paperbark Corporation Services we also provide a range of services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander companies (ASIC) and corporations (ORIC).

The Role

Working within our Bookkeeping Team you will be responsible for providing accurate bookkeeping records, exceptional service to our clients while being culturally sensitive support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients throughout Australia.

As a Bookkeeper, your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and reconcile financial records for clients in accordance with Australian accounting principles.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure financial integrity.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to address inquiries and provide financial insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for clients.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Public Practice.
  • Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) or equivalent highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of MYOB AR and MYOB Business including data entry and payroll and superannuation functions.
  • Proven experience in completion of BAS’s.
  • Proven experience in Management Accounting/ Bookkeeping.
  • Experience in Trust Accounting/ Bookkeeping or at least an understanding of the requirements relating to Trusts.
  • Experience with third party applications integrated with cloud accounting software packages.
  • IT savvy with intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Reasonable education and experience as the role requires.
  • Knowledge of Charitable Trusts and/or Aboriginal Corporations
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
  • Competent with full suite of Microsoft Office
  • Competent with a variety of operating systems
  • Ability to multi task and manage a high workload, to think on your feet with a can do attitude.
