The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for the training, assessment and continuing professional development of emergency physicians as well as the advancement of professional standards in emergency medicine in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Position

We have an exciting opportunity within our Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG) team and wider Education and Training department. The SIMG pathway is for specialist emergency medicine doctors who have completed their training overseas and are seeking recognition in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand.

The role of Administration Officer is an essential component of our daily operations and will include responsibilities such as:

  • Processing applications and supporting SIMGs applying for the Specialist pathway and Short term training pathway
  • Supporting the delivery of SIMG interviews
  • Establishing and building strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Updating the relevant databases in a timely manner
