The Executive Teacher will support students at Murrumbidgee School by:
- Developing personalised learning programs, utilising creative pedagogical and differentiated learning approaches to supports high engagement and high expectations for all young people.
- Delivering general education programs (Literacy/Numeracy)
- Supporting the delivery of other sessions as required to meet the needs of the young people including, Hospitality, Art, Woodwork, Horticulture or Health
Eligibility/Other requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.
- Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (or eligibility to obtain).
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au).
Notes:
This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
