We are currently looking for Classroom Teachers to support the students at Murrumbidgee School, which is located within Bimberi Youth Detention Centre. You will be responsible for developing personalised learning programs, utilising creative pedagogical and differentiated learning approaches to support high engagement and high expectations for all young people.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.
• Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (or eligibility to obtain).
• Current registration issued by Access Canberra under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
