Black Mountain School is seeking an experienced and collaborative Social Worker to be part of a dynamic and passionate multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant will provide an integrated allied health lens to help inform evidence based therapeutic approaches and support student engagement, and will deliver psychosocial interventions to students and families, and provide advice, consultation, and professional learning to improve wellbeing and educational outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with children and families and have a strong understanding of support options available in the ACT. They will be able to work independently and part of a team as well as have excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. They will have the skills and capacity to impact positively on student outcomes through their delivery of psychosocial interventions in collaboration with students, families and the interprofessional team. They will have a detailed understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and how to best support children and families that are participants in this scheme.
