About the Position

We are seeking a Clinical Service Manager to lead the Act for Kids Therapy service in Melbourne to enhance psycho-social outcomes for children and young people impacted by trauma.

You will lead a small team of paediatric allied health professionals within an integrated therapy setting and build on Act for Kids government, community, and corporate stakeholder relationships to grow and sustain the service.

  • Full time permanent position.
  • Level 7 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $110,913 to $115,538 plus super.
  • Broadmeadows location with free parking, on-site café and facilities, and nearby public transport & shops.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a clinical team to deliver high quality outcomes within a culture focused on impact, accountability, and innovation.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local community, corporate and government agencies.
  • Hold a small clinical caseload of children impacted by trauma.
  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership for team members with a focus on practice excellence.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, speech and language pathology or occupational therapy.
  • Registration with relevant professional body as required.
  • At least three years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or experienced abuse and neglect, or at least five years’ experience working in similar roles.
  • Management experience within a service delivery context.

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption.
