About the job
We are seeking a full time Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our friendly Support Hub team. Our work environment sets us apart, we are flexible and supportive. You can mix working from home and at the Milton office, you decide what combination works best for you!
This role will play an instrumental role in coordinating the marketing and communications program and is responsible for executing marketing, communications and branding strategies to raise Act for Kids’ profile within its diverse stakeholder groups
Key responsibilities:
- Support development of and implement digital marketing strategies to profile Act for Kids and Youthrive including production of high-quality written/visual content for social media marketing, email campaigns and our website presence.
- Manage various social media platforms that support the marketing strategy, including scheduling of content and the continuous monitoring of engagement and growth.
- Work closely with the fundraising team to profile partnerships and fundraising initiatives through marketing and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to execute targeted marketing and communications campaigns throughout the year (eg. Child Protection Week) to drive community awareness and support.

About you
- Degree qualified in marketing/communications (or similar).
- Minimum three years’ experience in similar marketing and communications roles.
- Ability to craft compelling written content along with a strong background in social media management, email marketing and curating website content.
- Proactive, professional, and customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and effectively contribute to a team environment.
- Experience utilising website content management systems, email programs, social media platforms and analytics (Adobe Creative Suite design experience is beneficial but not required).
- Demonstrated marketing experience within the not-for-profit sector is valued but not essential.

- Negotiated base salary + superannuation + salary packaging

Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a positive Working with Children Check in the applicable state of employment in Australia or exemption based on professional qualifications and registration.
- Current driver’s licence.
