Act for Kids is a prominent provider of prevention, professional therapy and support services for children who have suffered abuse and support for families at risk. With over 25 centres nationally, we have supported thousands of children and their families for more than 30 years. In 2021 - 2022 we provided services to 39,002 people, including over 23,000 children.

About the job...

We are seeking a Full-Time Practice Supervisor to join our caring, compassionate and friendly team in Townsville until 31 December 2026.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the professional practice of your team.
• Manage a restricted caseload which involves delivery of our family case-management program to families, caregivers, kids and young people.

• Be an active consultant in your area of expertise.
• Regularly attend and participate in case consultations and reviews
• Work with and refer where required to other professionals and stakeholders utilising an ecological model.

About you...

• Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
• Professional registration (if required).
• Membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
• At least five years’ experience working with children and families, preferably with time spent working within a trauma-informed framework.
• Relevant experience supervising staff in similar role.
• Honesty and professionalism, with a respect for our clients and customers.
• Ability to work with people from diverse cultures.

About the pay...

• Position is classified Level 6 under the SCHCADS award.
• Salary range is $96,970 - $101,251 per annum plus superannuation

Other requirements…

• Eligibility for a positive Working with Children Check in the applicable state of employment in Australia or exemption based on professional qualifications and registration.
• Current driver’s licence.
