About the Position

We are looking to welcome a Psychologist to provide services to students impacted by trauma at various schools to improve their access, participation and educational outcomes.

  • Full time position.
  • Government funded until 30 January 2026 with possible extension.
  • Level 6 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $106,390 to $111,093 plus super.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain partnerships with local schools, community and government agencies.
  • Maintain a client/case management load and provide discipline specific support in consultation with the Program Coordinator.
  • Collaboratively Identify barriers, and create plans to overcomes these, while developing student and staff skills to improve students access, participation and achievement in their educational environment.

About You

  • Tertiary degree in Psychology and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience working with children, young people and their families.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
  • Understanding of the impacts of trauma on child and family functioning.

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
