Policy and Campaigns Coordinator

ActionAid Australia

ActionAid Australia – who are we?

ActionAid Australia is part of a federation working in over 70 countries to advance women’s rights and end poverty and injustice. After decades of progress on women’s rights, the world is witnessing the largest setback to gender equality in history. The climate crisis, which is fuelling increased disasters and conflict, is a major driver of these setbacks, exacerbating existing gender inequalities. Building on decades of work at the intersection of gender equality and climate justice, under ActionAid’s new strategy, Women’s Leadership for Climate Justice we support women on the frontlines of injustice overseas and campaign in Australia to advance climate justice for women. ActionAid works to shift government policy and corporate practice that undermine the rights of women living in poverty.

ActionAid Australia’s main office is based in Sydney. We also have a small team based in Melbourne.
