The ACT Greens are looking for an office manager to work across the Assembly offices of: 

  • Andrew Braddock, MLA, Member for Yerrabi, 
  • Jo Clay, MLA, Member for Ginninderra, and
  • Laura Nuttall, MLA, Member for Brindabella.

You will need excellent administration and coordination skills as you manage incoming correspondence, allocate and track tasks across multiple teams, and help the Greens Members work efficiently.

Duties

  • Provide high level administrative support to the MLAs and office staff.
  • Provide first point of contact for offices, including for telephone enquiries and greeting visitors.
  • Assist in running of the offices including coordinating and managing a range of office processes with limited supervision.
  • Working in close partnership with the Leader’s Office Manager, collaborate with managing and responding to enquiries, emails and correspondence as required.
  • Manage, co-ordinate and negotiate the MLAs’ diary scheduling.
  • Liaise with constituents, MLAs, Ministers, and their offices, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the MLAs to fulfil electorate responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the MLAs’ event and travel arrangements and coordinate travel arrangements for other staff as required.

  • Other duties as directed.

Selection criteria

  • Strong office administration skills
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Capacity to work independently, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience or understanding of the ACT Government, parliamentary systems and/or the ACT political system would be an advantage.

The role will be for the term of the 11th Assembly and is set at Adviser Level 1 ($79,774 - $99,191) depending on experience, plus superannuation.

The successful candidate will be engaged under a Legislative Assembly Members’ Staffcontract, and other terms and conditions of employment are governed by the ACT Legislative Assembly Members’ Staff Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026. It is not an ACT Public Service position.
