Operating within the Student Experience Directorate, the Senior Project Coordinator will be responsible for negotiating and coordinating a whole of organisation response to the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence (The National Code). The role will also require providing support and expertise to other key university initiatives.
The Senior Project Coordinator will actively collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Safeguarding and Student Safety and People and Capability teams, to implement the ACU National Code Action Plan. This plan outlines the university's response to gender based violence and the National Code for both students and staff. The Senior Project Coordinator role also includes the implementation, review and reporting of university-wide Action Plans that addresses gender-based violence in a higher education setting.
The Senior Project Coordinator role is responsible for implementing actions and projects which align with the university's strategic goals as well as ACU's Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Framework and ACU's Gender Equality Action plan. These actions will support the university's compliance with the National Code, which is both staff and student centered, as well as supporting the university's legislative requirements and ongoing registration with Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).
