Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Support Worker who is an Independent Contractor and wishes to join our team. The role involves providing person-centred care to two individuals that live together in their home that is not a care facility. We are particularly seeking for someone who can collaborate with our broader team of experienced independent contractors to share the care giving responsibilities.

The primary focus of this role is to fill a shared role that will ensure the specific needs of the male individual are effectively and compassionately met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for up to two individuals, including:
  • Facilitating community engagement, including attending activities as required.
  • Supporting goal setting and skill development, particularly in areas such as technology use and learning strategies.
  • Assisting with personal care, grooming, cooking, laundry, shopping, and general housekeeping.
  • Providing transportation to appointments and activities as needed.

Essential Requirements:

As an Independent Contractor, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• An Australian Business Number (ABN) and relevant insurances.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Full, unrestricted Class C Driver’s License and access to a registered, roadworthy vehicle with third-party insurance.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability).
• Completed NDIS Code of Conduct Orientation and Induction training.
• Australian working rights.
