The Role

The Practice Manager will manage under direction from the CEO the day-today running of the AED Office in the areas including but not limited to Administration, Human Resources, Technical Resources, IT and Communication.

The Practice Manager will ensure AED meets all National Disability Standards, Funding Agreement and Audit requirements whilst managing AED’s Quality Management System.

The incumbent will be responsible for training and induction of new staff and the organising of student and volunteer placements ensuring adequate resources are available.

Key selection criteria

Essential (Skills, Knowledge, Experience):

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Experience and demonstrated ability to work with people with disability
  3. Commitment to the rights of people with disability
  4. Excellent computer and IT skills including Microsoft Office & ActionStep
  5. Demonstrated capacity to work in a team and support a cohesive small team environment, as well as to work independently with accountability under the direction of the Principal Legal Practitioner/CEO

Desirable (Skills, knowledge, experience qualification and/or training):

  1. Appropriate qualification from Australian tertiary institution
