What We're Looking For

  • Empathy and Compassion: A genuine desire to make a positive impact and a compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each participant.
  • Talents or interests in swimming, sports, art, or other creative areas are highly valued.
  • Minimum 12 months experience as an NDIS support worker, and have a good understanding of NDIS code of conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals in Sydney Metropolitan areas. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Community Access Support: Assist clients in accessing their local community and building a sense of belonging. Engage in recreational and social activities tailored to their interests, including swimming, sports, and art.
  • In Home Support: Support clients in developing their skills and attending to tasks at home (including personal hygiene and grooming, household and domestic chores, booking and attending appointments etc)
  • Independent Living Skill Development: Help individuals acquire and enhance essential life skills, promoting greater independence and self-sufficiency. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging clients to pursue their hobbies and talents.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Cert III or IV in Disability Support Work or similar qualification
  • NDIS worker’s screening check
  • Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Australian drivers licence
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Current first aid certificate & Current CPR (annual)
  • National police check
  • Relevant NDIS Orientation modules
  • Fully vaccinated (COVID 19)
