The Australian Kinesiology Association (AKA) Inc. is the peak body representing the Kinesiology industry in Australia. As a member-based, not-for-profit organisation, the AKA Inc. is dedicated to the national advancement of kinesiology professionals, recognising them as valued and respected healthcare providers within the allied health sector. We’re looking for a highly organised office administrator with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who is dedicated to servicing the members of the AKA Inc.

Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the AKA Management Committee (MC), the purpose of the Member Services Officer is to:

  • Perform a wide range of office administration duties which support the AKA MC and the overall running of the AKA
  • Handle member and public enquiries via email, telephone and post
  • Handle all aspects of AKA membership administration
  • Oversee all matters relating to practitioner registration
  • Act as a point of contact for the coordination of content for AKA communications
  • Act as the main point of contact for AKA website maintenance and management of Cyber Security
  • Assist the AKA MC and other AKA Boards and Sub-committees as required

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in office administration in a digital environment with strong organisational skills and expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated highly effective communication skills including accurate written and considered verbal skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders, members and the public
  • Highly developed analytical skills including problem solving, prioritisation and the ability to muti-task
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously with excellent time-management skills and a strong work ethic

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of / previous experience with Kinesiology and the Natural Health Industry
  • Previous experience in maintaining membership database systems
  • Technical expertise in basic administration functions relating to website functions and cyber security
  • Demonstrated understanding of how Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) operate and determine eligibility criteria with practitioner registration processes
