The Team Leader position forms part of our Mental Health Support Work Team which is focused on building, developing, expanding and maintaining the quality of service that Alacrity Health is reputed for across Melbourne. Our Team Leader will work directly in line with the Support Work Manager to oversee the Support Work team.

Leadership
- Leading and supervising a team of support workers alongside the NDIS Support Work Manager.
- Developing relationships and opening referral pathways with other services.
- Assisting in the strategic development of Alacrity Health, applying critical thinking skills to improve and adjust service delivery to provide best practice.
- Work with the Director and NDIS Manager to innovate support services.
- Taking initiative to collaborate with the team and support the wider support team where needed (e.g. in events of sickness or absence).
- Providing education to staff on Alacrity Health values, policies, procedures and processes.
- Behaving in line with Alacrity Health values, following policies, procedures and processes, modelling and contributing to Alacrity Health’s positive and supportive culture.
- Developing policies and procedures alongside the Director and NDIS Support Work Manager.
Administration
- Overseeing support worker rosters, ensuring quality of service delivery including case noting and safety compliance of the support team.
- Working with management to allocate referrals, with ability to work autonomously when required.
- File audits, document compliance and record keeping.
- Ad hoc administrative tasks and supporting the admin team where required.
- Flexibility and ability to work autonomously when required.
Service growth
- Developing relationships between Alacrity Health and other organisations by providing quality leadership as well as proactive relationship building.
- Assist in the service growth by promoting Alacrity Health services in a responsible and ethical manner.
- Collaborate and participate in strategic planning, service amendment and service growth conversations.
- Committing to the culture of the organisation and your contribution to the positive work environment including reliability, punctuality, and respect.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE ROLE?
- Experience in leadership, or minimum 3 years experience, in mental health.
- A tertiary or other qualification, or experience in a related field that demonstrates a key knowledge and understanding of mental health
- Sound knowledge of the NDIS or a willingness to learn
- Service development and exceptional relationship building skills
- Sound organisational and decision-making skills with the ability to respond and adapt to change
- An NDIS Worker screening check (undertaken prior to commencement)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Australian Working Rights including evidence of triple vaccination as per government requirements for health care workers
- Current Australian Drivers license and vehicle with insurance
- Computer literacy
