The Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association (ALAEA) is a federal employee organisation with offices in NSW, Victoria, and Queensland. We represent Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and other select roles in the aviation industry. We are seeking a motivated Junior Administrative Assistant to join our team. The role involves various administrative tasks to support the ALAEA'S daily operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone earlier in their career to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Administrative Assistant role at the ALAEA in Bexley, NSW. The Junior Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support, handle phone communications, maintain communication with stakeholders, assist with executive administrative tasks, and utilize clerical skills to support daily operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone earlier in their career to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Helping to coordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings for team members.
  • Providing support in maintaining and updating company records and databases.
  • Responding professionally to basic administrative inquiries via phone and email.
  • Assisting with preparing reports and other documentation as needed.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and operations.

Essential

  • Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence
  • Be a permanent resident of Australia
  • Sound oral and written communication
  • Ability to work within a small team, including commitment to teamwork and the ability to maintain positive working relationships
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn Microsoft 365

Desirable

  • Previous administrative experience or relevant qualifications is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • A keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
