Ngamai Wilam is a newly built 12-bed residential eating disorder treatment facility in Armadale, set to open in May 2025. Jointly funded by the Australian Federal Government and the Victorian Government, this specialist statewide service will be managed by Alfred Health.
The service will provide 24/7 trauma-informed, recovery-focused care for adults aged 18 and over, in a gender-inclusive, home-like therapeutic environment. With a strong focus on family and chosen supports, Ngamai Wilam is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes long-term recovery.
As Nurse Manager, you will:
Lead the operational and nursing establishment of Ngamai Wilam, working alongside the Operations Manager and Director.
Develop and embed a positive, therapeutic culture, ensuring a seamless start-up process.
Recruit and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a strong and cohesive workforce.
Create and implement workflows that support individualised care, family involvement, and recovery-focused practices.
Collaborate with key partners, including Eating Disorders Victoria and the broader mental health sector.
Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience, including working in a residential setting.
Additional tertiary qualifications relevant to the role (highly regarded).
Australian working rights.
Current Victorian Driver’s License, Working with Children Check, and Background Check.
