Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA) is a registered charity and Australia’s only national patient support organisation, dedicated to helping individuals and carers alike in managing allergic disease.

We strive to raise awareness of allergic conditions in the community by providing credible, evidence-based information, resources and services to support Australians with allergic disease and those who care for them.

We operate the National Allergy Helpline and have been helping people manage the everyday challenges of living with allergies for over 30 years. We aim to improve quality of life for all Australians with allergic disease.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of our small but mighty Marketing & Fundraising team, the Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in furthering A&AA’s reach, engagement and impact for people living with allergies.

The role is responsible for implementing the digital marketing strategy to enhance A&AA’s digital presence - ensuring positive engagement and user-friendly experiences across multiple platforms.

This includes website management, social media, email marketing and digital campaign execution - leveraging data-driven insights to improve engagement and drive subscriber and supporter growth.

  • Collaborate on developing the digital marketing strategy, working alongside the Marketing & Fundraising Manager
  • Create compelling digital content and campaigns
  • Manage and optimise website content, SEO and Google Ads
  • Build eDMs including newsletters and implement engaging email journeys
  • Manage social media content plan, creating impactful and relevant social media content for target audiences
  • Support the Allergy Educator team with the development and design of resources for allergy education
  • Track and report on analytics and insights, to measure outcomes of marketing efforts

ABOUT YOU

You will have a strong background in digital marketing, including social media, search and email marketing.

  • Experience managing website content (WordPress desirable), and understanding of website UX, SEO, SEM and Google Suite
  • Confident user of platforms for managing marketing projects and campaigns including CRM (e.g. Salesforce), Social Media (e.g. Loomly) and Email Marketing (e.g. Ortto)
  • Proficient in basic graphic design and video editing using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience collaborating with agency partners to deliver marketing campaigns and projects that meet objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as part of a small, friendly and committed team
  • Innovative, curious and proactive mindset
  • Strategic thinker with keen interest in digital engagement and improving marketing outcomes
  • Strong eye for detail
