The Role of Counsellor/Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor/Educator to join our team to:

• Provide individual counselling to clients, using evidence-informed assessment and therapeutic interventions relating to AOD, gambling behaviours and associated mental health concerns
• Develop and deliver tailored individual therapeutic plans
• Assist clients in setting and achieving personal and academic goals
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records
• Develop and deliver educational programs and workshops

Qualifications:

• Minimum: Diploma level qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, and/or Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
• Knowledge of the local Darwin community and the community sector
• Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Education, Psychology, or a related field
• Registration with AHPRA, AASW, the ACA or PACFA

Prerequisites:

• National Police Check
• Ochre card
• Current Northern Territory Driver License
• Ability to travel throughout the NT and work outside of normal business hours, when required
