We have an excellent flexible permanent part time opportunity for a qualified and experienced CPA/CA to join our Finance and Operations division.

The Finance Officer plays an important role in the maintenance and coordination of our financial systems. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of all payments, producing monthly financial reports and supporting the planning and budgeting processes. Reporting to the experienced Finance Lead, there is plenty of opportunity for growth and development in this role.

The salary for this position is $99,101 - $107,143 (FTE) plus super and not-for-profit salary packaging.

This role is responsible for:

  • Coordination of account payable and receivable.
  • Producing monthly financial reports.
  • Assisting with the annual audit and other financial compliance obligations.
  • Supporting the planning and budgeting processes.
  • Providing financial management and advice, including reporting and analysis for stakeholder groups.
  • Supporting the Finance Lead and Administration & Facilities Officer with projects and tasks as required.

You will have:

  • High level communication & interpersonal skills - EI - (written, face to face, telephone, social media).
  • Accounting qualifications - CPA/CA.
  • An analytical mind.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
  • Deadline-oriented and an ability to stick to time constraints.
  • Experience in financial systems (Xero preferred).
  • High level Excel skills and working knowledge of Power BI.
  • Interest in human rights issues and social change methods and tactics.
