About the MyLife Project

Join our MyLife team, where we recognise individuals to be the experts in their own lives, fostering positive change through personalised interventions. Funded by Targeted Care Packages, our work focuses on helping young people transition out of or avoid entering residential care. As part of our team, you’ll provide seamless support for children and families across various pathways, including care transitions, family reunification, and preservation. You'll work with diverse young people, applying concepts like positive psychology and developmental trauma.

About the Role

As a Youth and Family Worker you will provide individualised support to the client and family. This may include:

  • in-home support.
  • assisting young people to develop independent living skills and community connections.
  • delivering targeted support focusing on education and employment pathways, and
  • maintaining case plans in consultation with young people.

Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth and Family Worker who is passionate about supporting young people. You will be encouraged to utilise your passion and skills to support our young people to grow, develop and feel empowered.

To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge and experience in:

  • trauma Informed Practice and Advantage Thinking.
  • infant and adolescent development, mental health and substance abuse, and
  • the services, processes and networks that are needed and utilised by Anchor’s client group.

You will have a minimum Diploma qualification in Community Services, or a related discipline, recognised in Australia.
