Working with the Co-Directors, the Program Coordinator will contribute to the mission of the Mental Health & Pastoral Care Institute at Anglican Deaconess Ministries based upon a strong evangelical Christian theology foundation and framework.
The role will include:
- Supporting the Co-Directors in equipping and resourcing Churches in the areas of mental wellbeing, mental ill-health and pastoral and practical care;
- Assisting in the creation, planning and delivery of professional development for ministry workers and Christians working in mental health and educational settings;
- Teaching in relevant courses and seminars at both tertiary accredited and non-accredited levels.
You have Masters qualification in either Theology or Psychology and Tertiary education in both Theology and Psychology/Counselling/Social Work.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist in the creation, planning and delivery of professional development for ministry workers and Christians working in mental health and educational settings;
- Assist in the management of the operational tasks relating to the work of the Institute including communications, marketing, engaging with users (including churches and individuals).
- Collaborate with Co-Directors and others in research and teaching opportunities in the areas of mental health and pastoral care.
The Program Coordinator has a position load of 0.6 to 0.8 FTE depending on applicant’s ability to lecture in in our tertiary institution, Mary Andrews College.
