We are looking for a Disability Inclusion Officer to join our Parish and Diocesan Partnerships team who can build relationships and work with stakeholders including parishes, Authorised Anglican Congregations (AACs) and our Disability Working Group including people with lived experience of disability.
The Anglican Diocese of Melbourne is a large and dynamic organisation comprising of over 200 parishes located throughout metropolitan Melbourne and extending to include the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas.
The Disability Inclusion Officer is responsible for building the capacity of parishes and Authorised Anglican Congregations and for developing and implementing a Disability Action Plan (DAP) within the Diocese. The Disability Inclusion Officer will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, develop policies and resources in consultation with parishes and AACs, develop and conduct accessibility assessments and risk assessment templates, advocate for cultural change, offer advice, and promote engagement with people with disabilities across the Diocese.
