Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a dedicated First Nations individual to help AnglicareSA deliver culturally responsive support to First Nations clients. As an Aboriginal Cultural Practitioner, you will provide culturally safe, trauma-informed interventions to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness, driving sustainable, positive change in their lives.

In this role you will manage a case load while also offering cultural support to the team and/or our alliance.

What can you expect to be doing?

• Strengthen families connection to culture and support them in transitioning out of homelessness
• Provide culturally safe guidance and mentorship to staff
• Assess individual needs, develop and implement tailored case plans, and maintain accurate records
• Deliver therapeutic support to diverse client groups

What do you need to bring?

• Must be of Aboriginal and or/ Torres Strait Islander decent and identify and be accepted within Community as being Aboriginal and or/ Torres Strait Islander.
• Willingness to work toward obtaining Cert IV in Community Services, or similar.

Desirable

• A relevant degree level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood and/or related Social Sciences or extensive relevant experience.
