We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Thread Together Volunteer Coordinator to join the team supporting the partnership between Anglicare SQ, St Andrews Parish Indooroopilly and national charity, Thread Together.
Thread Together was founded in 2012, based on the simple idea to donate rather than dispose of unsold clothing, which allows new clothing to be given to people in need, whilst also protecting the environment by saving these items from landfill. Thread Together clothes thousands of people across the country every week.
The Volunteer Coordinator will work with a supportive team from all three partners to coordinate and oversee service delivery elements of the Thread Together project at Indooroopilly.
The role is part time (45.6 hours/fortnight) and is based primarily at St Andrew’s Anglican Church Indooroopilly, with regular travel to the Anglicare office in Fortitude Valley and other Brisbane locations.
This role would be perfect for someone has strong organisational skills, loves to engage with others & wants to make a difference.
Your commitment to supporting the Thread Together initiative by creating strong and positive relationships across organisations and the community will be paramount. Some of your other skills and capabilities will include:
You will be required to hold a Queensland Driver’s Licence, Blue Card and a National Police Certificate. A Certificate IV in Volunteer Coordination, Community Service Coordination (or equivalent experience) would be looked upon favourably but is not essential.
