The Senior Alcohol and Other Drug Youth Outreach Worker, provides assessment, case management and treatment to young people who want to make changes to their substance use. Operating within best practice principles for harm minimisation, stabilisation and recovery of substance use, based on the goals of the young person.
The position is a fixed term, part-time (0.4 FTE) position until September 2025, based at the Anglicare Victoria Preston Office with optional flexible working arrangements.
The position provides outreach AOD support to young people living across the North Metro Region (Banyule, Darebin, Nillumbik and Whittlesea), with access to the Anglicare Victoria pool car fleet.
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling and specifically a minimum of a Cert IV in AOD or Post Graduate Certificate in AOD, including Dual Diagnosis competencies or a minimum 2 years in the AOD sector.
