About the Opportunity

You will provide individual support to seniors and people with a disability both in their homes and in the community using an individualized and person-centered approach.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, responsive, resourceful and with the ability to create strong professional relationships. They will also utilise an individualised approach towards assisting our consumers to reach their goals.

The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team and will need to embrace and model the values of the organisation.

Annual Salary: AUD $66,252.70 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist aged and disabled persons during daily activities.
  • Helping participants with their mobility and organizing social activities.
  • Managing food for participants, executing overall housekeeping tasks.
  • Helping in personal hygiene and dressing.
  • Contributing emotional support by showing companionship, friendship etc.
  • Occasional shopping and running errands

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate III Individual Support / Aged or Disability and/or at least one (1) years' experience in individual support or community services.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory driver's licence.
