About headspace

headspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.

About the Opportunity

As the Reception and Administrative Assistant, you will be the face of headspace Katherine, providing high quality professional reception coverage to ensure the provision of youth-friendly, family inclusive and culturally respectful professional services to the community. You will provide reception duties and day to day administrative support to the headspace Katherine Centre Manager and team to meet the operational demands of the service.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing a welcoming environment to young people, families, staff and visitors
  • Scheduling appointments with young people
  • Fleet and room bookings
  • Providing information and managing queries in a confidential and highly professional manner

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an administrative/reception role
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to be flexible in the working environment and contribute positively to a productive, cooperative and friendly workplace
  • Well-developed ICT skills with ability to use email, ICT equipment and familiarity with Microsoft Word suite
  • Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, their families, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.
