In times of changes in government policy, community expectation, increased competition, staff attraction and retention, Annecto must enhance our visibility and relevance to potential customers in existing and new locations.

The BCD Manager is responsible for the development of new opportunities and major partnerships, building community capacity and connections in agreed areas of growth and providing management support to Annecto’s enterprises and inclusion initiatives such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and LGBTQIA+ strategies.

Deliverables:

  1. Represent Annecto by developing relationships with industry, government, non-profit organisations and other interested parties seeking collaborations in line with Annecto’s Purpose and Principles.
  2. Build relationships consistent with Annecto’s strategic partnership matrix, practice framework and Community Development framework and ensuring long term sustainability.
  3. Build on existing partnerships through knowledge of sector drivers to position Annecto well for future growth.
  4. Participate in sector networking including community relationship and awareness building.
  5. Design and coordinate key initiatives that ensure alignment to strategy and organisational goals across Annecto.
  6. Continue to develop and strengthen Annecto’s current enterprises; Speakers Bank, Coolamon Arts Hub, Front Door Recycling and You Want You Should as well as look at new opportunities.

We are seeking a Business and Community Development Manager for a period of 6 months, commencing ASAP to cover parental leave.

This role is full-time and is hybrid, with work from home available 2-3 days per week. Location is flexible - we have office locations throughout Melbourne and Sydney and regional Victoria, ACT, NSW and QLD - view our website for all our office locations. Interstate travel will be required. 

This role has responsibilities in partnerships and collaboration, planning, submission of grants and tenders, staff management, policy and industry knowledge. 

Selection Criteria: 

  • A tertiary qualification in Community Development or Social Services OR significant industry experience
  • A Business qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • A strong working knowledge of the Social and Community Services sector, preferably in Victoria and New South Wales
  • Prior experience in staff supervision and management
  • Proven business acumen e.g. new business development, stakeholder relationship building, network and partnership development
  • Demonstrated involvement in or identification of revenue/growth generating activities e.g. new funding, grants or tenders
  • Willingness to regularly travel to various Annecto locations, within Victoria and interstate
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of initiative
  • Driver's license and own transportation 
  • Satisfactory National Police Check 
  • Full vaccination for COVID-19
