ANTAR seeks to continue a fine tradition of being led by a National Director that oversees all aspects of ANTAR National's critical advocacy work and operations, contributing towards a just Australia in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights as First Peoples are recognised, respected and enjoyed.

For over 25 years, ANTAR has been a trusted ally organisation for First Nations peoples, supporting their priorities and campaigns for social justice and system transformation.

The person we are looking for will have experience in leadership, strategic development and sustainable management of a not-for-profit organisation and excellent campaigning, policy and advocacy experience.

It's highly desirable that the successful candidate has strong stakeholder management and development skills to maintain and cultivate key relationships in the sector.

We are a dynamic and innovative organisation supporting the millions of Australians wanting justice, rights and respect for Australia’s First Peoples and the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for supporting the growth and evolution of this important work and nurturing our small but experienced team of dedicated professionals.

ANTAR's head office is on Gadigal Land in Surry Hills Sydney, the preferred location for the role, we also have an office on Wurundjeri Land in North Melbourne where the right candidate could also be based.
