About APNA

The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) is the peak body and professional membership association for the 98,000+ nurses working outside of a hospital setting in Australia. APNA provides education, representation, advocacy, and support services for primary health care nurses across Australia.

About the role

This three-day-a-week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) Membership Operations Coordinator role sits within the Membership, Marketing and Engagement Team, part of the wider Nurse Engagement and Professional Development department. This role is responsible for a range of important administrative and operational tasks which support APNA's members, database, processes and membership activities. The Membership Operations Coordinator will also deliver exceptional service to our members, including inbound and outbound phone calls, responding to email enquiries, and maintenance of member records.

Responsibilities include:

  • Data audits and resolution to ensure compliance and database accuracy
  • Follow up and resolution of missed payments
  • Conduct our suite of annual surveys, including analysis and recommendations
  • Collate data from a range of sources to determine 'hot topics' for members
  • Preparation of data dashboards
  • Follow up of undelivered mail and emails to ensure accurate contact details in our database
  • Ownership and maintenance of membership user guides and templates
  • Insurance administration
  • Member service support.

You must have:

  • At least 2–3 years demonstrated experience in providing administration or operational support services
  • The ability to coordinate administrative processes to deliver high quality outcomes
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong digital know-how, analytical skills and an eye for accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills along with intermediate Excel skills
  • An ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and maintain a strong customer service focus
  • A hands-on attitude and willingness to support the team with other tasks, as required
  • Knowledge of medical terms and the health industry, or experience in a membership association are an advantage.
