New Graduate / Early Career / Senior Clinical Speech Pathologists - Flexible Location

Applied Communication Skills

About Us

Applied Communication Skills (ACS) is a highly respected and established private practice providing evidence-based community therapy to clients with complex communication disorders across a range of disabilities, including ABI and developmental disabilities. We have a recognised commitment to supporting young adults within the justice system as well as clients with complex mental illness. We place strong emphasis on professional development and our therapists are supported to develop their own areas of clinical interest and to present in professional forums and participate in the development of new research.

The ACS office is based in the heart of Fairfield but also operates as a mobile service throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area and some areas of regional Victoria. In addition to this, we also advocate for the use of telehealth when appropriate and staff are able to choose to work from home for part of their work. We encourage our therapists at ACS to have a high degree of flexibility by providing motivating and innovative therapy in a wide range of settings.

ACS is an independent practice providing only speech pathology services. This ensures that we have the right expertise within the practice and our staff know that they will be well supported in their caseload and that ACS will only take on clients for which we have the appropriate skill set. We do work very closely with other allied health professionals and we have commitment to working within an interdisciplinary model.

ACS is small, friendly and stable group and the long-term contributions of staff are highly valued in our workplace. The senior therapists of the practice have a wide range of experience and are generous in their support and sharing of knowledge. We are a boutique practice and offer flexibility to shape the position to your interest and skills.
