ARMIA Healing the Incurables is a not-for profit organisation operating in Sunnybank, SE QLD.

We provide a wide range of services, activities and programs including (but not limited to) Multicultural Communities’ and Disability Services to holistically empower the “forgotten ones”, mostly New Australians who struggle to integrate even after many years in Australia, as well as disadvantaged mainstream and indigenous persons.

We strive to remove fit men and women from endless welfare dependency and support most vulnerable members in the community to become healthy, productive, and proud Australians. We holistically empower People with disability to live a normal life with their families.

We also care for our Seniors through In-Home Care Services.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a great casual opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our multidisciplinary and multicultural team.

Supporting different teams and clients at ARMIA, you will have exceptional customer service skills, high attention to detail and superior computer skills. The incumbent must have well-developed time management skills and thrive on working as part of a team in a relatively busy, demanding work environment.  

Must be highly reliable, flexible, and available at short notice. It’s a great opportunity for students on Humanities and Social Sciences who want to start developing their skills in the community development sector.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Administrative experience preferably within a community-based organisation. Experience working with people from non-English backgrounds, people with disability and elderly would be an advantage.
• Strong customer service focus and highly developed communication skills - a real people person with a can-do attitude.
• Proven computer skills across the full range of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to deliver a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple priorities within a multicultural and multidisciplinary team and environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality across all facets of the working environment.
• Proven ability to be highly reliable, flexible, and available at short notice.
