About the Role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprise that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other trade-skilled team members.

This role will involve working in the Dubbo region completing cleaning maintenance at commercial sites including childcare centres and common areas at multi-unit residential complexes.

We are keen to get started, so interviews will commence as applicants are identified!

What success looks like:

• Delivery of a high cleaning standard, excellent customer service and positive communication to all customers
• Supported employees were assisted to develop new skills and achieve employment goals.
• Tasks were completed consistent with instructions from team leaders and supervisors, as well as contract specifications and scheduling requirements.
• Accidents, injuries, and near misses were reported immediately. Hazards and risks were identified and acted upon or escalated for action in a timely manner.

Skills that make you stand out:

• A commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct
• Experience in commercial cleaning operations, qualifications an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
• Self-motivated and can demonstrate initiative on the job as you will be working alone much of the time
• Professional presentation and customer service
• Demonstrate understanding of WHS responsibilities
• Demonstrate competence in safe work practices
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Problem solving and technical skills to address maintenance, contract and scheduling issues.
• A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling requirements of the position.
• Sound negotiation skills, able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues.
• Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Ability to work independently and/ or collaboratively as a team member.
• Valid current driver's license.
• Working with Children Check.
• NDISWC clearance
• White card and asbestos awareness certificate an advantage however full training provided
• A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 & 2)
