The Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors Incorporated (ASeTTS) is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our Board.

About the role

Board members are required to:

• Attend a minimum of six (6) Board meetings a year (in person or online)
• Participate in a Board Committee or working group (at least 4 meetings per year)
• Contribute to strategy workshops
• Attend the Annual General Meeting
• Maintain membership with the association

Who we are looking for

ASeTTS is particularly interested in candidates with prior experience serving on not-for profits Boards and/or substantial expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Not-for profit governance
• Organisational change management
• Financial management and accounting
• Information technology and cybersecurity.

Applicants with lived experience will be highly regarded. In alignment with ASeTTS’ vision and purpose, lived experience is broadly includes:

• Direct or intergenerational experience as a refugee or survivor of torture and trauma and/or
• Long-standing involvement with refugees and survivors of torture and trauma.
