- Reports to: The Ashgrove Baptist Church (ABC) Elders through the Ashgrove Community Care Council (ACCC)
- Liaises with: ABC Elders, ACCC, Senior Pastor, ACC staff & volunteers, Carinity
- Location: Ashgrove Community Care (622 Waterworks Road, Ashgrove QLD 4060)
- Loading and remuneration: Full time OR Part Time (depending on suitability of applicant). Total remuneration is $80-$100k (FTE) commensurate with experience, including superannuation and benefits (mobile phone etc)
- Tenure: Contract until 30 December 2026 subject to ongoing funding
Service Profile:
The CACC leads and manages all the activities of Ashgrove Community Care (ACC) as a ministry on behalf of Ashgrove Baptist Church (ABC) in accordance with the Ashgrove Community Care Council (ACCC) under its Charter.
The CACC is a mature, professing Christian and maintains a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and is an active and consistent church participant. Services provided through ACC should be professional and accessible to the community, seeking to empower individuals and families by facilitating growth in the midst of life’s changes.
The CACC is tasked with building on the reputation and current work of ACC by continuing and expanding existing professional services and developing new avenues of Community Care ministry.

Qualifications & Experience:
We seek a strategic and entrepreneurial non-profit community professional to join our team, with qualifications and/or relevant experience in the following areas:
- Demonstrated successful experience in a relevant area, such as church or para-church ministry/social work/community services/community development/counselling.
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably at degree level, in a field relevant to the role requirements, or a combination of lesser qualifications and equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in financial literacy and management, and strategic planning.
- Knowledge, understanding, and implementation of appropriate triage and/ or intake processes in a community centre context or similar.
- Effective management and supervision of staff and volunteers.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to providing high levels of service to a range of different stakeholders and clients with differing needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate sensitively and confidentially with current and prospective clients, practitioners, colleagues, volunteers and other external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver outcomes and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to think ahead, be strategic, and apply analytical skills to solve service delivery issues.
- Capability to analyse and trend data and provide relevant reporting within a non-profit setting and to organisational leadership.
- Demonstrated computer skills including sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in running a community centre or board experience would be looked on favourably.
Required:
- Current blue card or eligibility and willingness to obtain one. Appointment is contingent on a satisfactory National Police Record Check
- Active and consistent church participant, able to maintain appropriate links with the Ashgrove Baptist Church community.
