As Deputy CEO, Strategy, Performance and Enabling Services, your primary objective is to provide high-level expert advice and strategic leadership to develop and implement the Department’s strategy settings, enabling its reform agenda and collaboratively responding to politically sensitive issues.
In this role, you will be responsible for the fiscal oversight, quality assurance, legal and enabling functions that enable the delivery of high-quality services, the development of the Department’s strategy, strategic settings and commissioning of services designed to meet the needs of local communities, address systemic challenges and improve the lives of Territorians.
Working with the Senior Executive Group, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, Government and Non-Government Agencies, you will lead and embed governance, assurance and continuous improvement activities to enable evidence based frontline services delivered by the Department.
You will oversee the implementation of strategic programs, policies and reform initiatives, and provide high-level strategic advice to the Chief Executive, Ministers and key stakeholders on program strategies, fiscal and operational performance and reform initiatives, and strategic commissioning.
To meet the challenges of this strategic role you require, demonstrated success leading a large multi-disciplinary team in a complex operating environment, proven experience in workforce development and fiscal management, and a strong understanding of current and emerging social, economic and policy issues that impact the Northern Territory. Political acumen, cultural competence and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build organisational capability and ensure responsive and effective change management.
